The Club Safety Boat - Update
Andrew is in urgent need of more empty, clean and dry 2ltr plastic milk containers for the safety boat. To date their is 500 and a further 3000 is needed !!..
The boat is now beginning to 'come together' It was moved from Sunseekers just before Christmas to Dave Caddy's barn up by Hardy's monument. With all the rain we've been having more than one person has wondered if I'm Noah building an ark on top of Mount Arrarat......I hope we'll have to take it as far as Weymouth for the launch.
The engine is now bolted in place, the stern tube, shaft and propeller are all fitted and fixed. The seating is all fitted and just needs fixing down - as soon as all the fixings in the side of the hull for the fendering have been completed and glassed over. The rudder arrives at the end of the week so should be fitted next week. Once all the seating and floors have been fixed down we can move onto the decking, plumbing and wiring, making the steering console and fitting the fuel tanks and steering gear.
